It is our goal to always be open and transparent with the public. This newly created community dashboard will assist us in that continued effort.
The data provided in the below charts have been obtained from a variety of internal software programs used by the Westland Police Department. As a result, some of the different categories within these charts are similar, but remain separate. We are in the process of transitioning all of those programs to Arx Community, which will streamline the tracking of this data moving forward. Disposition Description
- Sustained: Violations of Westland Policy and Procedure did occur.
- Not Sustained: The evidence does not support the accusations.
- Unfounded: The facts that were presented never occurred and were false.
- Exonerated: The actions alleged did occur but were proper and legal

Due to the way the data is reported, the “unknown” category is the result of complaints that are generated internally for violations of policy and procedure that do not have a specific complainant other than the Westland Police Department
